Today I did a little better.  1 hour and 13 minutes of practice.  I still hear a lot of unnecessary air in my voice.  Mostly the E and F below middle C show lack of proper support, but the amount of air I use is improving.

Long day at the training, but I managed to squeeze a few minutes here and there, to complete 1hr and 5 minutes of practice.  That leaves 272 hours to complete by April.  I'm going to need to find hours where there are none.

Hi, I am turning this blog into a voice persistency journal to document and share my progress towards developing a professional voice.  Today is the 1st day of my latest effort.  I practiced for 55 minutes.  I have been practicing previously, but recently recovered from a really bad cold.  I practiced earlier this week and the effects are showing in my spoken voice.  It has a different type of nature, so to speak, and it requires less effort.  It sounds a little more like I've heard my mentor's voice sound at times.  This is exciting.  Also my singing sounds more focused and brighter, slightly, than before.  This is motivating me to continue.  I'm going into a one week training tomorrow, which lasts about 8 to 10 hours per day.  I'll try to squeeze minutes of voice practice in between the training (the training is not about voice).  I have a goal of 273 voice practice hours by April 14.  I'm behind schedule.  My current amount of hours of practice is 12, since I started the program on January 14.  I need to practice nearly 5 hours a day starting today in order to complete my objective. We shall see.
